Theisen Middle School - Student Leadership Team

Theisen Middle School’s 2017-2018 Student Leadership Team consisting of seventh and eighth grade students, recently convened for their third annual conference at the Fond du Lac School District’s Administration Center. The conference, led by advisors Bill Veness and Carol Anderson, included various presentations and/or activities related to developing core values, defining roles as leaders, and team-building experiences. The guest presenter for this daylong conference was Brad Nerat, Theisen Principal.

CSI Sponsors Workshop to Understand, Prevent and Respond to Cyberbullying - October 26

Cyberbullying is a growing problem in this country. While traditional bullying can stop on the playground or at school, cyberbullying continues outside of school hours. According to the 2017 Fond du Lac ATOD and Health Experiences and Attitudes survey, 21% of Fond du Lac’s 8th, 10th and 11th grade students report that someone threatened them through electronic communications in the past year. Cyberbullying weighs heavily on the mental and emotional health of those involved, sometimes leading to anxiety, depression and suicide. Fond du Lac High School presents...Sister Act

Tickets are now on sale for FDL HIgh School's production of Sister Act on November 2-4 at 7:00 p.m. and November 5 at 1:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $13 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets for the dinner option (including dinner and show) for November 4 are $33 for adults and $30 for students.

Tickets are available at www.hometowntickets.com or the FDL High School Box Office in the PAC Lobby Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. They will also be available one hour prior to each show.

Books-A-Million Book Drive Benefits School District

Books-A-Million Book Store in the Forest Mall conducted a book drive over the summer and collected over six large boxes of books valued at $720 that were recently donated to the Fond du Lac School District. The books covered a wide variety of genres and reading levels and will now be sent to several of the District’s media centers. Cathy Madsen (right), BAM Manager, and Gloria Schmidt, Community Relations and Substitute Coordinator for the District, are shown here with some of the donated books on display.

Building Careers for the Future - Career Construction Academy Update

Earlier in the year, the Fond du Lac School District, along with a committee of numerous general contractors and local organizations, announced plans to build a 5,750 square-foot facility that would be uniquely designed to house hands-on training areas for all the trades. Currently, fundraising for this proposed $1,104,318 Career Construction Academy (CCA) is ongoing with 74% of the project costs secured through pledges and equipment donations.

The CCA Committee is focused on raising the remaining balance of the project cost so that construction can begin.
