General Overview

Fond du Lac is a city with a population of approximately 43,000 located at the southernmost point of Lake Winnebago, one of the largest inland lakes in the United States.  It is about 60 miles north of Milwaukee and Madison and another 60 miles south of Green Bay. It is home to beautiful Lakeside Park where various events take place throughout the year including Walleye Weekend in June and the Sturgeon Spectacular in February. The Fond du Lac School District employs approximately 550 teachers, 105 instructional assistants, 85 support staff, 70 facility services staff, and 28 administrators. Our District is dedicated to attracting and retaining the best and brightest individuals in order to create optimal classroom environments and learning experiences for our 7,100 students. The District is comprised of one high school - Grades 9-12, three middle schools – Grades 6-8, nine elementary schools, and the Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) Academy – Grades 4-12.
