Crossing Guards Needed - Info and Application Available here
The City of Fond du Lac is looking for individuals to help grade school children in crossing busy intersections safely. Successful candidates would work two hours per day and there are various locations throughout the city where you could work. The two hours per day consist of one hour in the morning and and one in the afternoon. Hours are typically from 7:20 to 8:15 a.m. and 3:15 to 3:40 p.m. This is an excellent way to supplement your income. The hourly wage is $10.21. A pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check will be performed. Great Pumpkin Train - October 14 and 21

Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts is happy to announce its newest arts program: Studio 51! Studio 51 provides classes for kids and families in the Fond du Lac community. Youth Theatre Workshops - September and October Saturdays
The Recreation Department teamed up with the Fond du Lac Community Theatre and Encore Children’s Theatre to provide five workshops focused on developing the diverse skills needed in theatre performance. These workshops are perfect for youth ages 6-12 years old who want to get started in theatre or for those currently in youth theatre and want to brush up on their skills before the next production. These workshops will take place on Saturday afternoons in September and October, beginning this Saturday, Sept. 23! The “On the Spot” improvisation workshop is perfect for people who can be spontaneous and like to make people laugh. In the “And a 5,6,7,8” dance workshop, participants will discuss iconic dance routines in musical theatre history and will some basic dance steps as well as some contemporary styles of dancing. The fast-paced “Next!” audition workshop is where theatre veterans will cover the hardest part of theatre: auditioning! Participants will learn how to shake away their nerves and have a successful audition. During the “Behind the Scenes” production design workshop, participants will become familiar with the backstage elements of a show in this workshop. The “Extra Extra” media design workshop is for the behind-the-scenes artist who loves to draw, paint, or design graphics, pictures, and images. Register for any of the Youth Theatre Workshops at the Recreation Department office or online at Space is limited; do not delay!
