October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a time when schools and communities acrossthe country take steps to put a stop to bullying.Theisen Middle School and the Fond du Lac School District are committed to the health andsafety of all students, and will not tolerate bullying because of the negative effects bullyingbehaviors have on learning, peer relationships, and overall well-being.The bullying brochure was created to help parents and concerned adults recognize bullying, understand the warning signs of bullying behavior, and respond to incidents of bullying. While Theisen Middle School teaches the behavioral expectations of “Be Safe, Be Responsible,Be Respectful” established by Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS), there areoccasions when bullying occurs, either at school or in the community.Students, parents/guardians, or concerned community members that become aware of bullyingbehaviors that occurred at Theisen Middle School or on Fond du Lac School District propertyare encouraged to complete a Bullying Incident Report form and return to school. We will continue to take reports of bullying seriously, so that Theisen Middle School is a safeand nurturing place for all students to learn.
