FHS Global Teens Club Presents World Day for Cultural Diversity on March 22

The Global Teens Club of Fond du Lac High School (FHS) is celebrating World Day for Cultural Diversity on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the FHS Commons. The day provides Fondy High students and members of the Fond du Lac community with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the values of cultural diversity and to learn how we can live together better.

There will be entertainment and performances from different regions of the world: Dr. Jon Gilliland (bagpipe), Mr. Edi Gbordzi (drumming circle), Mrs. Kathy Prestidge (Japanese folktale), Ms. Jennifer Lunde (Scandinavian cancelle), Sahra Mahamed (Korean song), Rona Laras Narindra (Indonesian dance), and Alisha Vang (Hmong folk song).  

Various savory and sweet ethnic food will also be served. To sample the dishes, just purchase a ticket. Ethnic food sampling tickets are only 25 cents each and are available at the venue. There will also be traditional games and activities for all ages. The event is open to the community and admission is free.
