Introduction

Parkside Elementary School is a kindergarten through fifth grade school located at the southern end of Lake Winnebago in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. We are fortunate to serve a very culturally and linguistically diverse population of approximately 250 students. Our staff of over 50 dedicated professionals work together to provide a socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically safe learning environment for our students and their families. Parkside participates in the AGR Program, which is a program that reduces class sizes in the primary grades, enabling us to provide more individualized attention and instruction to our earliest learners. It is our mission to do everything in our power to provide support to our students so that they can experience success and reach their highest potential. Every Child, Every Day, Whatever It Takes!

Recent Happenings

Parent-Teacher Conferences: Parent Teacher Conferences will be here before we know it! It’s that time once again to come and meet with your child’s teacher and any other teachers and/or staff members who might support your child. Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on February 7th, 12th, and 15th. A note will be coming home soon to inform you of the date and time of your conference. If the date and time does not work for you, please contact the office or your child’s teacher to reschedule. Don’t forget to check out the Book Fair in the Media Center which will run during all Conference hours. We look forward to seeing you!

Culver’s Night: Come and join us at Culver’s on Hwy 23 near Menards on Tuesday, January 22nd for our annual Culver’s Night. Culver’s will donate a portion of the proceeds from 5:00-7:00 to Parkside School. You will be served by the teachers and staff from Parkside. Hope to see you there!

Panther Party: As an entire school, we will be teaching assertiveness throughout the month of January. Our introduction to assertiveness will teach kids how to stop, walk, and talk. This procedure helps kids learn to keep their calm and keep control of themselves if something around them is bothering them. The first step is to ask the other person to stop, then the kids will learn that they should walk away.  We will then work with our students to help them understand the final step in the process which revolves around talking with a trusted adult.
