5 Things We Love About the Fondy Community

As a proud member of the Cardinal Family, you know there are so many things to love about our schools and community. While we enjoy the benefits of a strong public school district every day, it’s important to take a moment to reflect on what makes our schools so special.

If we could write a love letter to the Fond du Lac School District community, here are some of our favorite things that we would praise.

Fond du Lac School District Announces 4K Open Houses and Registration Schedules

Student working on writing and coloring The Fond du Lac School District will again be offering a half-day, 4 year-old-kindergarten (4K) experience. Children who will be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2020, are eligible to attend.

Currently, there are classrooms at the following District elementary schools: Chegwin, Evans, Pier, Riverside, Rosenow, and Waters. Programs will also be offered at the following community partner sites: Bright Beginnings Academy, Camelot Children’s Center, Christian Parents for Kids, ADVOCAP Head Start, Hope Preschool, Kidz Choice Learning Center, Lily Pad Learning Center, Mary Linsmeier, Shining Stars Learning Center, Treffert Academy, and the YMCA. Many families access 4K at these community partner sites, and children are eligible to attend 4K at any of these locations for no charge. If you are interested in visiting any of the community partner sites before registration begins, or at any time, call the site directly and set up an appointment.

Revised 2020-2021 School Year Calendar is Available!

This calendar provides a snapshot of inservice, conferences, and holidays during the 2020-21 school year. It was revised 1/24/20 with updates to the Early Childhood (EC) and 4K programs in October 2020 and February 2021.

Community Project Supports Literacy Learning at Chegwin
Thank you to the staff from Moraine Park Technical College and members of Kiwanis of Fabulous Fond du Lac who did a service project in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this week - and we have so much gratitude that their project is supporting our student’s literacy learning at Chegwin Elementary School. Read More

Seven FHS Students Selected for Wisconsin's All State Choir!

Congratulations to the seven talented Fondy High School Choir students for their selection into the All State Choir Program as part of the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association. In early January, these students rehearsed and performed with students from across Wisconsin and a nationally recognized conductor. Their experience concluded during the All State Choir Performance on Saturday, January 11 at Lawrence University Chapel in Appleton.

Fond du Lac American Legion Auxiliary Unit #75 Essay Contest

The Fond du Lac American Legion Auxiliary Unit #75 is offering Fond du Lac area youth, in grades 3-12, the opportunity to participate in an essay contest. The 2020 Americanism Essay Contest question is “How can we address the health and well-being of our veterans, military, and their families?” Return entries by the end of day March 1, 2020.

Connecting Middle School Students with Careers

My Stop App Helps Parents Track Buses

Fond du Lac School District parents can now use the free My Stop app to determine the location of their child's school bus. The My Stop app displays the school bus's location on a map, as well as provides the estimated time of arrival to a specific student's bus stop. The location of the bus is automatically updated every few seconds to accommodate any delays. Click here for additional information.
