Online Registration for All Continuing Students - August 4-7, 2020

It’s time to get your students registered for the 2020-2021 school year! The Fond du Lac School District uses online registration to simplify the registration process and make it more convenient for you.  ALL schools in the Fond du Lac School District use the online registration process for continuing students entering grades K-12.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are preparing for the 2020-21 school year and are committed to providing a high quality educational experience for our students while ensuring that the health and safety of our students and staff is a top priority.

During online registration, you will be asked to select your preferred Instructional Platform for each of your students. The two Instructional Platforms are: In-Person or Remote. Details are provided in the Planning Guide linked above.

Please note: Families that select the Remote Platform for instruction, you are agreeing to the 2020-21 FdL Return to School Opt Out Acknowledgement form - please read this document carefully.

There are many moving pieces to these plans and we will need to adapt as the situation surrounding COVID-19 evolves and we receive further guidance from the CDC, State and Fond du Lac County Health Departments.

For those needing in-person assistance, staff will be available at the Fond du Lac School District office (72 West 9th St. Fond du Lac, WI) August 4-August 7, 2020, from 9 am to 3 pm. In addition, extended hours will be available on Wednesday August 5th from 3 pm to 6 pm. Support will also be available for Spanish speaking families during these times. If you are unable to travel to the district office you may call 920-906-6533 for assistance. In addition, please refer to this FAQ document for more information.

Tips and Instructions for Online Registration

Here are several tips that will be helpful as you begin:

Refer to our Online Registration FAQ as needed.

Access the system via Skyward Family Access on our website. DO NOT use the mobile app. The registration process is not set up to interact with the Mobile App. However, you can still access online registration on your phone through an internet browser (Safari, Chrome, etc).

You will need your Skyward Family Access login and password to start the registration process. This is the same login you use to check your child’s grades, make food service payments, make changes to contact information, etc. throughout the year.  IMPORTANT: If you are not sure of your login information, there is a link on the login screen that can be clicked to retrieve your information. If you are still unable to access your account, please contact [email protected].

If you seem to be having difficulty logging in, check to be sure you are using your Family Access login and not your student’s login information. Online registration cannot be completed through the student login; only families are able to register students.

Online Registration, as well as all areas of Family Access, can be translated for you if needed. Once logged in to Family Access, click on the drop down for “Select Language.”

If there is a first and second family, Family One must complete the online registration. Family Two will have access to view the registration information and to make updates to the phone numbers and contact information for their family.

Registration for Students New to the District

During the school year, families who are new to the Fond du Lac School District are asked to please register your students at their school of attendance as soon as possible. Click here to view the District map and school boundaries. If you are unsure of your school of attendance, please contact Wendy Burgess at (920)906-6524 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. When registering, it is important that you provide an original birth certificate (for viewing purposes only) and proof of residency (rent receipt, lease, utility bill, etc.). Parents of kindergarten students are also asked to bring along their children's immunization records.

By registering as soon as you have determined that you will be attending one of our schools, it allows us to properly schedule buses, assign teachers, and provide any other services that might be necessary. It also allows us to provide the individual and personal attention your child deserves.

During the summer, families are also asked to register their new students at their school of attendance as soon as possible. Please note that elementary schools in our District are closed from mid-June to mid-August.

To register your new elementary child during the summer, you will need to wait until the elementary school staff return to their buildings on August 12, 2020. You may contact the Administration Center at (920)906-6500 and they will provide you with the date that schools will reopen for the new school year.

To register your new middle or high school student during the summer, please go to their school.  Middle Schools and the High School are open all summer, but it is a good idea to call ahead before stopping in.

Due to construction underway at our Phase 1 referendum schools - Chegwin, Waters, Pier and Theisen - and at Sabish Middle School, these schools are closed until mid-August. Please email those building principals directly with registration requests and questions.
