Our District is embarking upon a pilot partnership project with the Fond du Lac Morning Rotary Club and Marian University called “Read 4 Life.” The project encourages reading and supports literacy among 1st grade students. The program was developed to celebrate students’ having established reading fundamentals in their first year of school and to come together as a community to let them know the community cares about them and their progress.
Each 1st grade classroom was provided with eight books that the teacher will read with the students during the school. The students will then vote on their favorite book. In May, there will be a celebratory “Read 4 Life” event for the first students at Marian University.
