Referendum Planning: Community Survey

Updated: December 3, 2025

Planning Process

The Board of Education is beginning to plan for a possible referendum. This is a vote where our community will decide if they are willing to provide additional funding for the day-to-day needs of our schools. The first step is to plan the question that will appear on the ballot and outline the additional help our District needs from our community.

The vote would be on April 7, 2026, on the Spring Election ballot.

What Happens Next?

Now until January 2026: The Board and District leaders will study our needs, look at the costs, and talk with the community. They will use that information to determine the best question to ask voters. The best way for you to share your ideas and help the Board plan is to answer the Community Survey between November 4 and November 26.

January 2026 Board Meeting: The Board will make its final decision and vote to approve the exact words of the question that will be on the ballot, if they decide to move forward with a referendum question.
