Tomorrow’s the day. Nearly 1,000 student singers from every Fond du Lac School District school will unite for our Districtwide Choral Festival — a powerful celebration of music, connection, and community. Today, we welcomed Dr. Zachary Durlam from UW-Milwaukee through our Artist in Residency program. After working with our high school choirs yesterday, he led inspiring, hands-on workshops with our elementary and middle school students. His passion and energy have elevated the entire week. Join us Saturday, April 12, from 4–5p in the Fond du Lac High School Fieldhouse for a concert that brings our district together in song.

Kindergarten Teacher Kim Trent is changing outcomes. Her students may be small, but they are mighty. Kim doesn’t underestimate their capabilities. Instead, she recognizes they are capable of amazing things. “Right now, I am setting one-on-one personal, individualized learning goals for my kindergarten students. A lot of people think that kindergarteners can't do that, that they're too young. They can't have goals and do goal setting. But here’s the thing: they can,” Kim says. “They're so excited when they do it. For example, they're coloring in their graph to show how many letters they've learned, and when they meet their goals, they're so excited that they hold up their graph so I can take a picture and share it with their parents.” #Fondy #FondyChangesOutcomes #FondDuLac #CardinalFamily

The Fond du Lac School District would like to thank the community for their feedback through voting. Although the referendum did not receive voter approval, the District’s financial needs remain. The School Board and administration will take time to finalize an alternate plan to address our financial gap and share with the community when next steps are determined.

Fond du Lac is setting every child up for success beyond high school by doing foundational work early on. As you walk through the halls of Riverside Elementary School, you’ll see a collection of student pictures lining the walls, accompanied by what they want to be when they grow up. Their dreams range from astronaut to artist, and everything in between. Teachers across the school are united in their commitment to helping students turn those dreams into reality. They are not just teaching academics; they are helping children understand the skills it takes to accomplish their goals. Read the full story here: www.fdlsd.org/page/future
