Isabel Herrera (right), Fond du Lac High School's First Vice President for Wisconsin FCCLA, was in Madison at the state's capitol along with FCCLA Adviser Stephanie Fox (left) and 60 other students from around the state on Thursday, February 9, 2017 for Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) Government Day.
FCCLA State Officers, along with five other CTSO’s, learned about civic leadership and citizenship while meeting with and asking questions of legislators and government officials on career and workforce topics. The event was organized by an initiative known as “all CTSO,” which is a partnership of Wisconsin Career and Technical Education Student Organizations.

Rosenow Elementary School and Horicon Bank officially announced their intent to become Partners in Education at Rosenow’s Monday Morning Kickoff on January 30. They will be exploring opportunities to work together to benefit both the students and the bank. Worker shortages are impacting various segments of the economy and the construction field is feeling that shortage more so than most. Seventy-five percent of construction firms report they are having a hard time filling hourly craft positions. In Wisconsin, it is projected that the construction and extraction field will have the highest overall job growth of any industry with a 20.5% increase between 2012-2022.
