THE SCHOOL: Evans Elementary School is a small neighborhood school made up of approximately 300 students, ranging in age from 4-11 (4K-5th grade). Nearly all students walk, bike or are driven to and from Evans each day. Over 50 teachers, specialists, instructional assistants, secretarial and food service staff members interact with Evans students on a daily basis to support their learning! Evans is lucky to have a very active and giving Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and a strong, supportive relationship with Burke Playgrounds, Inc., their Fond du Lac Community Partner in Education.

ITS STORY: Evans Elementary School was built in 1955 and received a large addition to its original building in 1972. Evans is a SAGE school so there are three sections of kindergarten, first grade, and second grade; making the student-to-teacher ratio strong. Grades 3-5 have two sections of students per grade level.

OUR MISSION: Our Evans Elementary School Community will build caring relationships to teach, inspire and enrich our students' learning. Effective collaboration that is based on trust, respect and support of each other will ensure that our high academic and behavior expectations are met, generating success for all.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: Students have the opportunity to participate in many clubs, activities, and sports which include:
  • ACADEMICS: Spelling Bee, LEGO Robotics
  • FINE ARTS: Chorus, band, and orchestra, Evans Explosion Bucket Drumming
  • ATHLETICS: Volleyball, basketball, kickball, wrestling, Girls on the Run, Ski Club
